Billionaire Elon Musk has spent well over $100 million to purchase a number of properties in the affluent Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles and some in San Francisco.
In a series of Twitter posts, the billionaire CEO of Telsa said he would sell almost all of his physical belongings and not own a house.
Some of his properties have begun to be listed for sale on various real estate websites.

Elon owns a number of properties across America, one of which is a $3.7 million Brentwood mansion in San Francisco, which he left to his ex-wife after their divorce, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a spa, a saltwater pool, a garden tub.
In 2012 he bought a 20,248 square foot mansion in Bel Air for a total of $17 million and it has 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 4 half bathrooms, a large brick ceiling kitchen, a wine cellar, a 5 car garage, an in-house movie theater, a gym, an in-house music studio, a 2 story library.
The following year, in 2013, he added a Bel Air mansion to his portfolio, which cost him $6.75 million. The 2,756 square foot ranch style mansion has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, and was mainly used as a private school for his children.
In July 2015, Musk bought a $20 million mansion with 6 large bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
In 2016, he added another 9,309 square feet of $24.25 million unfinished mansion to his list of properties, and while it was undergoing some renovations when he bought it, it had 6 large bedrooms, 7 bathrooms in a house elevator.
In June 2017, he bought a mansion of 100 years old, 16,000 square feet of Mediterranean style, which is located near his Telsa headquarters and cost him $23 million. It has 10 bedrooms, a ballroom, views of the bay, hiking trails.
In 2019, he added another $4.2 million Colonial Style 2 story Bel Air Mansion to his portfolio and comes with a white brick façade, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
