Clicks states that it is promoting the availability of Covid-19 immunizations at its stores around the country, with more over 15,000 vaccines delivered so far at its 60 retail pharmacy approved vaccination stations.

By the end of the year, the business intends to have over 600 vaccination stations up and running, with the capacity to vaccinate over 30 000 people a day.

The retail pharmacy chain indicated that it has been working closely with the Department of Health and B4SA to promote the national vaccination strategy, and that it is leveraging all of its tools and processes.

According to the business, all vaccinations at Clicks locations are now handled via the EVDS SMS voucher technique, which ensures that merchants receive the appropriate number of vaccines based on confirmed appointments for that location.

The fundamentals are already in place, according to Vikash Singh, managing executive of Clicks, and the objective of administering 50 vaccines per site every day is achievable. He went on to state that by the end of the year, the group’s objective is to have 602 registered vaccination sites.

An additional 240 Clicks vaccination locations will go online in the next two to three weeks, with 40 to 50 new sites going online each week, depending on demand and vaccine availability, he added.

Limited Vaccine Supply in the short term

Singh cautioned that the supply of Covid-19 vaccines is restricted in the short term.

He added that if a vaccination facility runs out of supplies, booked clients would be contacted when new supply arrives, allowing them to be serviced first.

Vaccine Rollout Plan and Priority

He noted that stores in areas with limited access to alternative vaccination facilities will be prioritized in the implementation.

The organization went on to state that getting as many people as possible vaccinated was a major priority since it was a national necessity.

Previously, Clicks vaccination stations were only open Monday through Friday; however, due to customer demand, they will soon be available on Saturday as well.
