Grant Cardone, a renowned sales expert from the United States, has opened a start-up hub in South Africa. Grant, a Florida-based sales specialist, author, and reality TV show, aspires to be the mentor he didn’t have.

After he launched his first business after graduating from college, he realized how difficult it was to be a business person and realized he needed someone to go to for guidance.

His dad died when he was just ten years old, and he realized he didn’t just need business counsel, and also direction including how to live life.

Cardone believes the impact of his dad’s passing had a great influence on him since he witnessed his mom struggle to make ends meet while raising five children.

Those experiences inspired him to establish his own foundation, with the objective of not just assisting new enterprises but also mentoring people from single-parent families.

With all this motivated Cardone, widely known for his book The 10x Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure and anchoring the Undercover Billionaire TV show, to promote the 10X Hub initiative in the Western Cape communities of Mbekweni and Paarl East.

The program’s goal is to provide mentoring as well as business help in the form of business education materials, and it is delivered in collaboration with a local incubator, Labit Consulting.

In the first 18 months of the 10X Hub initiative, the objective is to develop two sustainable firms, train 1,000 entrepreneurs, generate 100 jobs, and sign up 350,000 people for access to Cardone’s instructional materials.

Probed on why he chose to implement the program in South Africa, Cardone explained that it was brought to his notice by a member of staff who had previously worked with Labit Consulting.
