Following the killings of AKA and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane in Durban on February 10th, sources claim that investigation teams had been pursuing the alleged hitmen for weeks.
The two were shot dead on Florida Road after AKA had gone to Wish Restaurant for lunch and drinks before performing at Yugo, a Durban nightclub, to celebrate his birthday.
When two shooters opened fire outside the Wish on Florida restaurant on February 10 in Durban, AKA (real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes) and Tibz were brutally slain.
SAPS investigators and members of the National Intervention Unit cornered the three suspects on Sunday in Belhar’s Erica Square.
According to Netwerk24, one of the suspects is connected to a series of cab homicides in Empangeni, a town in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
A series of crimes in KZN led to the men being located in the Western Cape. After pretending to be representatives from the Department of Social Development, the investigative team located the males.
According to sources familiar with the inquiry, the individuals would travel from home to house pretending to be Sassa agents and offering to assist people in applying for subsidies.
