For the SRD R350 grant, SASSA offers a number of payment options, with the bank account payment option being the most effective and safe.
While the Post Office no longer offers the SRD grant, some applicants or beneficiaries choose to get the R350 grant by cash send even though they do not have bank accounts.
SASSA advises all cash send clients to get in touch with the bank they choose so that the bank can resend the voucher if they have pay dates on their application status but have not received the voucher or have accidentally deleted the message.
Clients of SRD Cash Send who have not received any payment dates are urged to supply their banking information as this may indicate that the mobile number verification was unsuccessful.
You must confirm that the bank account or phone number used to send the cash is registered in your name in order to pass verification. Applications whose payment information does not match their names will not be paid by SASSA.
