Whats great about this money transfer facility is the fact that there are no monthly charges or fees on the part of the recipient, and can be used to purchase other services such as prepaid airtime, data or electricity.

The receiver can access the funds through ATM, mobile phone (USSD), Internet or AccessPoints. InstantMoney works with different partners to help you transfer or receive money, including Spar, Choppies, Pick n Pay, Rhino Cash & Carry, Cambridge Foods, Saverite Supermarket and Standard Bank among many others.

Why choose Standard Bank InstantMoney?

Standard Bank InstantMoney is an easy way to securely and instantly transfer money to your loved ones.

One of the joys of utilizing this facility is that the beneficiary simply needs a cellphone number to access the funds and does not even require a standard bank account.

If the money is sent, the receiver will have it immediately, meaning you don’t have to wait a long time for any bank clearances, and so on, you get it there and then.

How Standard Bank InstantMoney Works

To transfer money using Standard Bank InstantMoney, you can simply go to any of their retail partners along with your South African ID and give their tellers the amount of money you want to send.

The teller will assist you with the transaction to validate the recipient’s cellphone number and ask you to include a four-digit authentication PIN that you will send to the recipient to use.

The receiver will receive a message via SMS telling them of the money sent and will use the security PIN provided by you to access the money on any Standard Bank ATM machine.

With this money transfer service, you can send as much as R5 000 a day and a cumulative total of R25 000 a month, and you can even use Standard Bank’s online banking or mobile phone banking to send money using this facility.

If you send it from ay of the retail partner stores, it will cost you R9.95 to send the money.

For those who use Internet Banking, Cellphone Banking, Standard Bank app or ATMs to send less than R1 000, it costs R 10.50, or R 12.50 for sending R1 000 or more.
